A GCSE biology paper asked students about a 150-year-old meme

A GCSE biology paper has left students angry and confused – but not for the reason you might expect.

Students taking the AQA paper yesterday were asked about a meme of Charles Darwin… made 150 years ago.

Students were seriously unimpressed, given that material they had revised didn’t appear.

Even teachers didn’t know what to make of it.

While Darwin’s contributions to the science of evolution makes him somewhat relevant to biology exams, students just weren’t expecting it to take such a format.

They were reportedly asked in the question to explain why Darwin was drawn as a monkey.

The meme question came a year after students were asked about testing drugs on drunk rats.

Good Luck for 2018.
